COVID-19: Nagaland sees biggest one-day spike of 69 new cases

Nagaland recorded its biggest one-day spike of COVID-19 infections on Monday morning with 69 fresh cases, taking the total tally to 280, according to an official update. 

 

The new confirmed cases included 65 from Peren, 3 from Dimapur and 1 from Zunheboto quarantine centres. 


“Out of 275 samples tested, 69 new cases of COVID-19 +ve have been reported. 65 patients from Peren QC, 3 from Dimapur QC & 1 from Zunheboto QC,” informed state’s Heath and Family Welfare Minister S Pangnyu Phom on Twitter. 

 

The status, he added, was as of 9:15 AM, June 22. However, with 141 patients officially designated as 'recovered,' the total active cases stood at 139 during the same period.
